Executive associate athletic director Todd Stansbury could be moving to the south as he may be offered the associate athletic director job at Georgia Tech.
Scott Linehan, who is the uncle of current OSU offensive lineman Josh Linehan, was recently named the St. Louis Rams' head coach. Scott passed for over 7,000 yards and 45 touchdown passes as a three year starter for former OSU coach Dennis Erickson.
Seaveral from Oregon State football players were drafted by NFL Europe teams. James Lee, a defensive tackle from 2001-02, was signed by the Amsterdam Admirals in the NFL Europe Free Agent Draft. The Cologne Centurions drafted Aric "Great 8" Williams (2001-04) in the second round and linebacker Jonathan Pollard (2001-04) in the 13th. Saftey Mitch Meeuwsen (2001-04) is headed to Germany where he will play for the Rhein Fire.
With Seneca Wallace's first NFL catch in the NFC championship game, stories have popped up around the net of his history playing football. Of course, Mike Riley successfully recruited him to Corvallis in 1998, but he failed to qualify academically and would up going the junior college route. He ended up at Iowa State where he was named the Big 12's Newcomer of the Year in 2001.
After Mike Hass' four catch, 107-yard and one touchdown performance in the East-West All-Star game, Riley told the Portland Tribune.

Even with most of the focus on the new crop of Beavers, Hass continues to grab headlines as he was given the Hayward amateur athlete of the year award at the Oregon Sports Awards banquet late this month.
Former Beaver quarterback Terrance Bryant, who played for the Beavers from 1998-99, was resigned by the Sioux Falls Storm. Bryant led the Storm to the 2005 United Indoor Football league title in 2005.
Peter Schinnick was named the head football coach of the University of North Carolina. Schinnick was Oregon State's recruiting coordinator from 1992-94 under Jerry Pettibone where he put together OSU's first-ever nationally ranked recruiting class in '92.
Beaver basketball great Ed Lewis who played for Slats Gill from 1931-33 passed away this month at the age of 95. Lewis was an All-American and All-Conference selection in 1933 as he led his team to the Pacific Coast Title in the same year. He is a member of the Pac-10 Hall of Honor, the State of Oregon Hall of Fame, and Oregon State's Hall of Fame.
