Profile 2003 - T.C. Ostrander (QB)

T.C. Ostrander is one of the top signal callers from California. He is now sitting on five scholarship offers. Ostrander is also an outstanding student.

One of the top quarterback prospects from the PAC 10 region is T.C. Ostrander. Ostrander, 6-3 and 200 pounds, plays for Atherton (Cal.) Menlo High School. Ostrander is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA and 1460 SAT.

"Academics is very important part of my decision," said Ostrander. "I am also looking at the coaching situation and the amount of support the program has. They have to be a strong program. The depth chart is important too."

According to Ostrander, he has scholarship offers from Oregon, Stanford, Arizona State, Kansas State and Oregon State. The entire PAC 10 is recruiting him along with Virginia and Colorado.

"I have been training hard with Roger Theder. He is a very good QB coach from Northern California. He has helped me out with footwork and mechanics. My arm strength is good and I am a smart guy and pretty poised back there. I do not go crazy under pressure. The main thing is that I try and be consistent."

In regards to schools, Ostrander is open at the moment, with five schools in the picture.

"Stanford, Oregon, Arizona State, Virginia and USC are my five favorite schools. I do not have a leader at this time. I am trying to track the top QB prospects and see what they are thinking.'

Ostrander has already camped at Oregon, Stanford and USC. This week, he will attend a camp at Virginia. Last season as a junior, he threw for 1,700 yards and 13 scores.
