Oregon State verbal update

Three weeks of high school football are in the books and several Oregon State verbals have had outstanding showings.

WR Darrell Catchings (Escondido HS) - through three games has 13 receptions for 193 yards (14.85 avg) and one touchdown...team is undefeated at 3-0...two kickoff returns for touchdowns...playing through a right ankle injury...returned the opening kickoff of the 2006 season 86 yards for a touchdown.

S/WR Colby Prince (West Albany HS) - team is 3-0...had two touchdowns, including a 41-yarder, this week against Sherwood...also intercepted one pass...approximately seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns...around a dozen tackles.

RB Ahmed Mokhtar (Mater Dei HS) - through two games has 252 yards on 41 carries (6.1 ypc) for two touchdowns...two passes caught for 11 yards and one touchdown...28 rushes for 161 yards in week two...team is 2-0 after defeating No. 3 Mission Viejo Sept. 13.

OL Michael Cole (Foothill CC) - team is 3-0...ranked No. 6 in NorCal and No.9 in the state

QB Jake Gelakoska (Henry M Jackson HS) - team is 0-3...33 for 48 (.690) for 485 and five touchdowns and two interceptions...18 rushes for 124 yards and one touchdown.

DE/OL Kevin Frahm (Central Catholic HS) - team is 1-2...around 20 tackles, two 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

DE/RB Carl Sommer (Milwaukie HS) - team is 3-0...22 carries for 184 yards (8.36 ypc) and three touchdowns...five receptions for 62 yards...two tackles...named one of the team's captains at the start of the year.
