Former OSU head coach, Mike Riley, played for the University of Alabama under legendary head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Riley played defensive back while at Alabama and helped the Crimson Tide win the 1973 national championship. During his tenure at Alabama, the Crimson Tide won four SEC titles.
Riley has found success at every level of organized football. He helped Corvallis High School win the state championship in 1970. He helped Alabama win the national championship in 1973. He helped coach Linfield to the national championship in 1982. And last, but not lease he won the CFL's Grey cup as a player once and as a coach twice.
