Verbal: Jake Gelakoska
Ryan Gunderson is in his senior year and assigned to a backup role while Sean Canfield and Lyle Moevao will battle for the starting spot in 2007. Adding Moevao in the summer was essential in case Canfield, the front runner for the starting job, gets hurt.
It is important for the Beavers to get a prep quarterback in the system after striking out a year ago. They landed Henry M. Jackson's Jake Gelakoska around the same time as Moevao to fill their quarterback need for the future.
Polk and Bernard will be in the senior years and Fuller will be in his junior year. El Camino running back Jamicah Bass has three to play two and probably will redshirt. Ahmed Mokhtar is a big, bruising player who will carry the load in the future.

Verbal: Darrell Catchings
Darrell Catchings is OSU's first true receiver to verbal in the last two years. The Beavers need to add at least one more prep player to the receiving ranks to build for the future.
Josh Linehan and Adam Koets both graduate, but Andy Levitre and Tavita Thompson are around for a couple of more years plus a strong recruiting class from a year ago that includes Timi Oshinowo and Ryan Pohl helps.
Junior college players Michael Cole, Una Smiley and Jon Ioane have all verbaled. One or two of them will redshirt to prepare for the future. Ioane is not a done deal as his grades may be an issue.
But it is a must to have developing lineman in the system and getting at least one prep guard would nice, but not essential.
Plus, walk-on Marcus Henderson has performed well at practice.

Verbal: Colby Prince
Tight ends were a major focus last year as the staff inked four. Joe Newton and Jason Vandiver graduate as John Reese and Howard Croom are set to take over the starting roles. Gabe Miller has worked his way back from an Achilles heel injury and will be in the mix as well.
Joe Halahuni is expected to enroll in January giving the unit a lift. Look for at least one of the tight ends, possibly Brady Camp, to be moved to the defensive side of the ball.
