The two-year series begins Sept. 13, 2014 in Minneapolis with Minnesota scheduled to return to Corvallis Sept. 12, 2015. The programs have met three times, all in Minneapolis, with the Gophers taking two of the three games.

Minnesota is the second Big 10 program to appear on OSU's future schedules. The Beavers and the University of Wisconsin Badgers are slated to play in 2011 in Madison and 2013 in Corvallis. The Oregon State program is 11-24 overall versus the Big 10 and has faced every team in the conference except for Penn State.

A Mike Riley coached team has never faced a Big Ten program although his 2004 squad took #3 LSU from the SEC down to the wire in Baton Rouge. The last time the Beavers played a team from the Big 10 was in 1986 when OSU lost to Michigan 31-12 in Ann Arbor.

Four Big Ten teams have played in Corvallis with the Beavers splitting the contests. The last time the Beavers played a Big 10 team in the Mid Valley was in 1971 when OSU defeated Iowa 33-19 in Parker Stadium.

The Beavers still have two non-conference slots to fill on the 2007 schedule.
