Football spring schedule announced

Believe it or not, spring football practice is just a little over a month away. The team will be suiting up 15 times in April with the annual spring game set for Apr. 28.

Spring practice kicks off on Monday, April 2 with practices on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for the remainder of the month. The highlight of the schedule takes place on Saturday, April 28 in the annual spring game at Reser Stadium. Practice times have not been officially announced, but are expected to start at 3:00 p.m.

Spring game tickets will go on sale on the second week of April on OSUBeavers.com with Mike Riley previewing the spring practice sessions in the last week of March.

New faces expected to be in uniform when April rolls around include defensive tackle Sioeli Nau, tight end Joe Halahuni, linebacker Walker Vave, defensive end Carl Sommer. Nau, a junior college transfer, will compete for a starting spot at defensive tackle while Sommer, the only prep player arriving early, will compete at defensive end.
