Today's the day for Arizona QB

THERE COMES A tipping point for quarterback prospects with college scholarship offers, one where a decision is made and the phone call is placed. For Scottsdale's Sean Renfree, that day is today. The 6-2.5, 205-pound field general with 4.5 speed will make the call today on his college of choice. He holds offers from Oregon State, Georgia Tech, Stanford, ASU, Arizona and others.

Renfree, out of Notre Dame Preparatory, said he'll have his decision around 12 noon today.

"I'm just going to announce it with my head coach on (Monday)...I'm not going to have a press conference or anything, I'm just going to call the head coach of the University and then all the other head coaches that have offered me and let them know," said Renfree.

The Beavers and Yellow Jackets were recruiting the hardest about a month ago, Renfree said, with Oregon State sending about 3-5 text messages a day. Since that time, he's taken a number of unofficial visits, however, including one out to Stanford, his third trip to Palo Alto, where he attended a camp, plus stops at OSU, Georgia Tech, Arizona State and Arizona. The Wildcats, he said, are no longer in the mix, however.

He has unofficially visited Oregon State twice this recruiting season.

"I just went over it all with my family this weekend. I just wanted to be 100 percent sure and I'm excited about it, and for getting it all over with, and to help that school that I'm going to to do a little more recruiting. It was about the fit there, how much they wanted me and how comfortable I was with that coaching staff," said Renfree.

Renfree, rated by as the No. 17 QB prospect in the Nation, threw for 2,483 yards as a junior, completing 56 percent of his passes. His touchdown to interception number was a formidable 24-to-5.

Check back a little later today, when we'll have Renfree's decision here on and
