Pac-10 plays

Last week Bleeda went 1-2, but still managed to add $350 to the bankroll. He now stands at 2-2 for the year with $10,650 in the bank. This week is dedicated to the Pac-10. Playing it safe with only a buck and a little juice on every game. There are a lot of great games this week so save the honey-dos and mowing your lawn for Sunday.

Fresno State at #19 Oregon -16. When I first saw this line come out my initial thought was that the number was way too high. Unfortunately, after some reflection it pains me to say maybe it isn't. These Quackers throw points up on the board like they are shooting the moon in Hearts every game. Then you mix in the Autzen home crowd chaos and a Fresneck team that is coming off an emotional 3OT loss and you have a recipe for a blowout. UO is getting better every game and Dennis Dixon is looking scary good. $110 to win $100 on the University of Zero.

#10 Ohio State -3.5 at Washington. Frosh quarterback Jake Locker for the Huskies is the real deal and the Washington bandwagon is filling up fast. Bleeda hasn't jumped on yet and we are talking about a game with "theeee" Ohio State. Just last year the Buckeyes were in the BCS National Championship game and UW was 9th in the Pac-10. It will be close but my $110 is on OSU to collect a buck.

#1 USC at #14 Nebraska +9.5. I'll take the almost double digit dog in this spot. Thousands of drunken red clad fans at a night game in Lincoln will provide the support Nebraska needs to pull off the potential upset. USC could come out flat after the bye week and get its ToesJamed. Take the Cornhuskers to cover, buck ten to win a Benjamin.

#11 UCLA -15.5 at Utah. Oregon State beat the Utes by 17, UCLA is better than us; therefore the Bruins win by at least 16. Easy math. More math says that the subtraction of Utah quarterback Brian Johnson adds to UCLA winning big. I like the chalk here $110 to win $100.

Louisiana Tech +33.5 at #8 California. I love the Bears and all, but these kids need to learn how to play better defense. They gave up 31 to Tennessee and 28 points and 458 yards to Northern Colorado. To cover the number Bleeda believes that Cal will have to crack 60. This game has backdoor cover written all over it. LA Tech pays me a $100.

San Jose State at Stanford -7.5. Both these teams are bad. That's all I can tell you. Keep your money away from this game. No play.

San Diego State at Arizona State -28. Wazzu beat up the Aztecs by 28 and the Sun Devils will beat them up by more. ASU has been a good coach away from being a player in the Pac-10 recently. Enter Dennis Erickson. ‘Nuff said. Bleeda pockets another $100.

New Mexico at Arizona UNDER 45.5. These two teams will grind it out in a low scoring affair and someone will be victorious savoring one of the few wins they will see this year. $110 wins yet another $100.

Idaho +25 at Washington State. Cross-border rivals go at it once again and Idaho often surprises. Moscow peeps can make this road trip in 15 minutes - it's practically a home game for them. The Vandals are bad, make no mistake about it, but they did play respectable against USC in the opener. Maybe they will stay at a Holiday Inn Express before this game. One potato, two potato, three potato, four. Ah never mind, just give me my Idaho ticket! $110 to win $100.

Idaho State at Oregon State (no line). Beaver Nation needed this fluff opponent this weekend to get the quarterbacks their reps. They still need to show up though, stranger things have happened. Conventional wisdom says we win in a blowout.

Have a great Saturday of college football viewing and remember only bet what you can afford to lose. BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED IT!
