WGW: Against The Grain "Bleed Dat"

Bleed dat is code for "believe that" for those of you not down with Bleeda's gloss. Anyhow, the kid went 2-1 last week and pocketed $1450 to grow the season bankroll to $12,060.

The big unit games are hitting and that's saving his ass. This weekend forget about the Heiniken and a hotdog CalNeva Reno style, Bleeda wants Vegas' finest Sushi and premium sake. Actually, he will be settling for a steak and eggs breakfast with Oregon microbrews in the dark confines of the Peacock Tavern to watch the first half of the Cal/UO game - then it's off to the parking lot to smoke some cigars and slug down a few more adult beverages.

Well, enough talk about alcohol and Saturday pre-game, time to pick some winners and give away free money.

UCLA at Oregon State -2.
Did you know the Beavers are second in the nation against the run, yielding only 29.5 yards per game and .9 yards per carry? Freaking amazing! Opponents are not even averaging a full yard per carry against us!

If Canfield can avoid throwing interceptions watch Beaver Nation arise from its current cautious season outlook. A break out game for Canfield means more money in the resident wiseguy's pockets.

Reser Stadium will be electric. OSU takes care of business and in honor of Mike Riley's 0-8 record against the Bruins playing $880 to win $800. Time to switch those 08 figures around.

Arizona State at Stanford +14.5.
Gambling rule of thumb is to give a double digit home dog love and the Cardinals get a hook of insurance to boot. Sun Devils welcome to a Pac-10 road game!

So what if it's Stanford!? The Cardinal has improved under the new coaching staff and are playing an ASU team that is slightly overrated right now.

Call me crazy but throwing down $200 on the Moneyline at 5-1 odds, to win $1000. Also taking the Cards and the points $550 to win $500. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Cal at Oregon UNDER 72.
Bleeda's bucking conventional wisdom and playing the UNDER in this game that is projected to be a shootout. Both teams have scary good offenses and scary bad defenses. But who cares! 38-31 and you are still under the number in this game that should be a grinder.

Remember the Louisville vs. Kentucky game a couple weeks ago? That game was projected by some to have both teams scoring in the 50's, but final score 40-34.

Ok, that's still a lot of points; I'm just sayin...$110 to win $100. Against the grain style.

USC at UW OVER 57.5.
Ok, boys and girls I'm going to make this easy for you. USC averages 44.7 points a game and UW averages 27.7 points a game. The Trojans alone are a threat to break 50.

I see the Trojans struggling to contain quarterback Jake Locker and the Dawgs will be putting some points of their own on the scoreboard. I'm getting greedy on this game - $1100 to win THOUSAND.

News, notes, and gossip all over the map. Oregon and Oklahoma are the only two 4-0 ATS teams.  There is too much game day security in Reser Stadium. My daughter got to draw a football at daycare today in honor of athlete career day (Dad was proud). Mike Price is rumored to be hired back as the WAZZU coach as Doba will be fired at years end. Haikus are cool.

BLEED DAT! Boom goes the dynamite!
