Civil War blood drive kicksoff Nov. 1

A little healthy competition never hurt anyone. This football season, the Beavers and the Ducks won't just be competing on the field-their fans will be scoring points too by donating blood in the sixth annual Civil War blood drive, November 1-17th, across the state of Oregon.

With your help, Oregon State University and the University of Oregon Alumni Associations will be helping to save thousands of lives again this football season. Oregon State has won the competition the last four years.

We are calling on you to show your school spirit and donate blood anywhere in Oregon during the Civil War blood drive.

The university with the most donors, statewide, will take home the Civil War blood drive trophy, announced at the Civil War football game on Dec. 1.

Last year, fans, students and alumni of both schools collectively donated over 6,300 units of blood to help patients in need. The Beavs have won the last four years in a row. Who's going to win this year?

Please schedule a donation on behalf of the Beavers or the Ducks at any blood drive, statewide, from November 1-17.

In addition to helping the University of Oregon or Oregon State University win the competition, you'll help save lives. All participants can enter a drawing to win two Civil War game-day tickets.

Please schedule your donation appointment today. Visit our website at or call 1-800-GIVE LIFE (448-3543) to make an appointment.
