Paea is a 6-2, 295-pound defensive tackle prospect. He has three years of eligibility remaining following a redshirt season in 2006. The native of the Tonga Islands helped the Badgers to an undefeated regular season before the team lost in the Top of the Mountains National Championship game. Paea attended Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, where he was an all-region selection. He also was a prep standout in the shot put.
"He's still pretty raw and learning, so he's got a
lot of upside and potential," El Camino strength and conditioning coach Tyler Hughes told BeaverFootball.com. "but he's got some real natural strength
and power that will make him a pretty good player for them,"
The mid-year junior college transfer signing period began Wednesday and continues through Jan. 15.
