Five-star DE to Oregon State

FIVE STAR junior college defensive end Simi Kuli hasgone black and orange. The 6-4, 270-pounder chose Oregon State according to an El Camino coach over double digit offers and a who's who in college football that included LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, Oregon and Nebraska to name a few.

It has been a wild recruiting ride for Simi Kuli this year -- he was reported to be leaning towards one school one week, a different one the next.

He was verbally committed to Nebraska at one time before coach Bill Callahan was dismissed. But he has now settled on one, with the Tucson Citizen and others first reporting Kuli has verbally committed to Oregon State, followed by an El Camino coach confirming the oral pledge to BF.C.

Through five games this year -- he missed two with a sprained knee -- Kuli had logged 42 tackles, seven sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 20 quarterback pressures.

The defensive end, originally out of Hawthorn High School, is rated five stars by Scout.com, and has three to play two at the next level.
