NorCal DB Talks About His Visit To Colorado

Lorenzo Sims, a 5-10, 175 pound defensive back from Fresno (Calif.) Edison took an official visit to Colorado over the weekend. Here's the latest on the talented athlete from NorCal who is also interested in the Beavers.

"It was real cool," Sims said. "I had a good time, the high-lite for me was the game and the atmosphere there. It was wild and everyone was excited because the win clinched the Big 12 north division for them. The team played well and I liked the crowd support a lot.

"It seems like the whole city of Boulder basically shuts down on game day. After the game, I went out with my host and a few other recruits and had a real good time there. On Sunday, Coach (Gary) Barnett talked to us, let me know they want me and they have a scholarship for me. He didn't pressure me to commit or anything but did say they only have a couple of spots left.

"Right now, my plan is to still take all my trips or at least a couple of more. I have LSU this weekend (Nov. 22) and I want to also visit USC, Nebraska and Oregon State. USC is still my leader but Colorado moved up to No. 2 on my list. I really liked it a lot there."

Sims is a top defensive back recruit who can play corner or safety in college. He have good coverage skills, runs well and can play the pass or run equally well.
