2008 RETRO GAME 10: Cal at Oregon State

CAL LANDED THE first blow, but it didn't take long for James Rodgers and the Beavers to answer. Back and forth the momentum went, it was punch and counterpunch all day long, and it wasn't fully decided until the Keenan Lewis and the Beaver D rose up one more time.

Nov. 15 | Cal | W, 34-21

SHORT RECAP: It was back and forth until the Beavs got some breathing room late. Again, the Beaver D was sterling, allowing Cal only 232 total offensive yards on the afternoon. Meanwhile, James Rodgers had 117 return yards, led the team in receiving with six catches and scored two touchdowns. And Sammie Stroughter's play was a sight to see.

KEY STAT: 232 - The number of total yards Cal's offense had.

KEY QUOTE: “An all-out team victory. We had a lot of fun out there. Once we got that run stopped and they started going into the pass offense, we were going to pin our ears back and go for it. I think we kind of got in Kevin Riley's head a little bit, got him frustrated." - DE Slade Norris
