Future Beaver gives OSU visit rave reviews

ONE OF THE high value recruiting pipelines for Oregon State football is Hawaii. Mana Rosa, a 3-star DE out of Wailuku's Baldwin High, verballed to the Beavs back in October. Following his official visit this past weekend, he's more anxious than ever to get to Corvallis and put on the black and orange. And he's not the only one. Meanwhile, others including a Pac-10 school are still recruiting him.

Gut reaction:
"It was fun. I got to meet some cool guys up there and the coaches are nice, they took me around and showed me a lot of places I hadn't seen before. It was a good experience," said Rosa.

One-on-one talks with the OSU staff, having a scholarship offer from OSU:
"All the coaches kind of grabbed me, they were just really nice, especially coach Riley. I really appreciate all the things he's done for me," said Rosa.

Breaking down film with future position coach:
"I got to sit down with coach Joe Seumalo, the d-line coach. We were talking (football) and he was showing me some of the team film from last year and how their defense is run, how he likes the defense to be run. And he talked about how he teaches his guys, shows the guys the film and shows them what their mistakes were," said Rosa.

Sitting down with coach Riley:
"We were at his house eating dinner and he pulled me aside with my mom. He said he really appreciated that I came on the visit, he hoped I enjoyed myself and he really appreciated that I verbally committed earlier. He also said he's really happy to have me there and he can't wait for the summer to come and for me to get there. My mom really liked (the visit) too." said Rosa.

Are other schools still recruiting?
"Washington was and Colorado was but I told them I'm pretty solid Oregon State so I don't think they're coming around anymore. Washington was from before too but it's been mostly since coach Sarkisian and coach Holt came in," said Rosa.

Final thought:
"I want to thank my coaches from over here for helping me out and getting me ready for where I'm going to go right now," said Rosa.
