MICHAEL PHILIPP, who this recruiting season has been ranked both the No. 4 offensive guard and No. 9 offensive tackle prospect in the country by, showed in 2008 why he's so highly regarded. Michael Philipp, from San Bernardino, Calif., had double digit offers before he even began his senior season, with schools like Michigan and Notre Dame joining the usual Pac-10 suspects.

The 6-4, 316-pound Phillip is the highest rated future Beav on Oregon State's commit list, checking as as the No. 4 guard prospect in the land. Philipp is one of 11 future Beavs to earn a spot on Scout's final list of the 100 best high school prospects at their respective position. The other incoming Beavers on the list are Rueben Robinson (29), Cody Vaz (33), Michael Doctor (39), Grant Enger (46), Sean Martin (55), Mana Rosa (58), Joshua Andrews (63) Markus Wheaton (66) and Mike Beaton (81) and Kyrell Hudson (81).
