4-star big man goes black and orange

ANGUS BRANDT, the highly rated 6-foot-9 Australian transplant, is now a committed man. This past summer he earned the attention from a number of high major programs with offers from the likes of Oregon State, Michigan, Arizona State and more. After taking some visits and examining the process, he's made his pick.

Angus Brandt has found his college home, and it's Corvallis.

Following his strong summer, the 4-star prospect checked in at No. 86 overall in Scout.com's Top 100 and was ranked the No. 16 overall center.

Shortly after a strong showing on the July circuit, college coaches began trailing him. High major programs started offering and on Wednesday night he accepted an offer to play at Oregon State.

"Yeah I did," he responded when asked if he made a verbal commitment.

After making his way to the United States from Australia, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound big man showed off a high major skill set and ability to run the floor when he played with Chicago Elite this summer.

Brandt, a standout at Lake Forest (Ill.) Lake Forest Academy, declined further comment for the time being. Among the other schools on his offer list were Michigan, New Mexico and Arizona State.
