Hunt looking at inside-outside

OREGON STATE defensive lineman Mitchel Hunt (6-2, 277) -- listed as the starting right tackle on the 2009 pre-spring depth chart -- has been working out with the defensive ends during the second week of spring ball. And the word is he will, this upcoming season, play both end and tackle this season.

"He'll be like Naymon Frank," defensive line coach Joe Seumalo told The Gazette Times. "It's a way to get a big body out there against the great looking tight ends we face in this conference.

"Plus, he's athletic enough he can run pretty good. He's smart, so it's not an overload. He'll start out on the end (in practice) and get his reps inside."

Hunt's collegiate career has been slowed down by myriad injuries, but is healthy this spring.

Entering the spring session, the starting d-ends were listed as Ben Terry and Kevin Frahm.
