WATCH: TCU next as Beaver bats come alive

LITTLE DRAMA WAS to be had in Oregon State's 13-5 win over Texas A&M, unlike the first time the teams met on Friday. On Sunday, OSU scored six first-inning runs to take control, crafting an 18-hit attack and the Beavs got a complete-game from junior pitcher Jorge Reyes. And that could prove big, because the Beavs were able to save their arms for tonight's tilt -- also an elimination game, vs. TCU.

Koa Kahalehoe went 5-for-5 on the day and Ryan Ortiz added four hits to lead the Oregon State offense.

Jorge Reyes (6-2) went the distance, giving up 10 hits and five runs (three earned) while walking one and fanning six.

OSU batted around in the first, sending 10 men to the plate and scoring six times.

A&M seemingly got the first out on a strikeout but the leadoff hitter reach safely on a wild pitch. That opened the floodgates.

A single to center, back-to-back infield singles and OSU was on the board. Jared Norris followed with a bases-loaded, two-run double to the left center gap, and the Beavers would tack on three more on a groundout and consecutive two-out RBI doubles to go up 6-0.

Ryan Ortiz made the score 7-0 with a two-out solo home run in the second.

Oregon State plated its eighth run of the afternoon in the third when John Tommasini drove an RBI single through a drawn-in infield.

Michael Miller drove in Joey Wong with a one-out single in the fifth to extend the OSU lead to nine. Kahalehoe later lined a double under the glove of Brooks Raley in left to drive in two more and make the score 11-0 by the time the inning came to a close.

OSU finally surrendered a run in the sixth, a solo shot homer off the scoreboard in right. A&M picked up a couple runs in the eighth and ninth innings but there was to be no miracle comeback as there almost was on Friday, when the Aggies clawed back from a 9-1 deficit to within 9-8.

Oregon State now faces their second elimination game of the day -- a 5 p.m. tilt against TCU, who drubbed OSU 13-1 on Saturday. A live, free webcast is available HERE.

If Oregon State beats TCU, a Monday game between the two clubs will be played to see who advances out of the regional to the super regional.
