Beavs lose control of airwaves, game

IT WAS A bad combination for fans of the black and orange. Oregon State couldn't contain the Cincinnati passing game, and the Beaver big-play offense was held in check by the Cincy defense. OSU has time and time again pulled out the late game magic the last few years, but not on this Saturday and the end result was their first loss of the '09 campaign.

Oregon State fell 28-18 in Corvallis today, and a less than 100 percent Jacquizz Rodgers was held under 100 rushing yards for one of the few times in his collegiate career.

The Beavers' o-line surrendered five first half sacks, and Sean Canfield never quite found his rhythm.

The Beaver secondary was victimized time and again by the long ball, and the Beavs had no long range answer of their own.

A picture perfect drive to open the second half by the Beavs, cutting the lead to 21-15 was one of the few times the Beaver offense looked truly in synch.

We'll have more a little later here on BF.C.
