James Rodgers Pac-10 Offensive POW

JAMES RODGERS WAS named the Pac-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, following his game-high 209 all-purpose yards in leading the Beavers to a 28-17 victory at Arizona State. Rodgers is now also tops in the Pac-10 in two major offensive categories.

James Rodgers had 10 catches for 114 yards, including a 25-yard juggling touchdown reception from quarterback Sean Canfield in the second quarter.

Rodgers also added 60 yards in punt returns, 30 yards in kickoff returns and five yards rushing.

"Quon" is the Pac-10 leader, and ranks ninth in the nation, for all-purpose yards per game at 181.5 yards.

He also leads the conference in receiving yards per game, with 88 hashes.

It was Rodgers' second conference honor. He was also named the co-Special Teams Player of the Week Nov. 17, 2008 after accounting for 117 yards in kickoff returns in a win over Cal.

His brother, OSU sophomore running back Jacquizz Rodgers, earned the Pac-10's Offensive Player of the Week award three times last season as a true freshman.
