WEATHERLINE: Oregon St. at Washington St.

FOR THIS FIRST time this season snow is in the forecast for an Oregon State game as Martin Stadium will be windy and cold come Saturday with temperatures in the mid to high thirties. The Beavers have won six of the last 10 matchups versus the Cougars and have been favored to defeat WSU by 30 points or more the last two games.

THE LINE

Similar to the Washington series Oregon State has dominated the Washington State series of late winning six of the last 10.

Oregon State has a 118-30 margin of victory over WSU over the last two games.

In the last 10 games the Men in Black have been favored six times.  OSU has been a 30-point favorite in each of the last two skirmishes.

The last time WSU was favored was in 2006 as a three point favorite.

This season the Beavs are 5-4 against the spread defeating the spread in five of its last six games.

 

 

THE SERIES
WSU leads 47-43-3, 32-16-2 in Pullman

Washington and Oregon State have met 93 times dating to 1903 with the Cougars leading the Pacific Northwest rivalry 47-43-3.  The 43 wins is the second most over a Pac-10 opponent and the .478 winning percentage against WSU is the highest among Pac-10 foes.

The Beavers have won six of the last ten games after losing 13 and tying once from 1979 to 1993.

In 50 games in Pullman, WSU leads 32-16-2. The teams have split the last four matchups in Martin Stadium with the Beavers last victory coming in 2007 (52-17).

Oregon State won the last clash between the two schools a 66-13 shellacking in Reser Stadium.  The last Cougar victory was in 2006 when WSU pulled off an ugly 13-6 win in Corvallis.

Washington State and Oregon State have met 92 times dating to 1903 with the Cougars leading the old Pacific Northwest series 47-42-3. WSU won 15 of 17 games played between 1979 and 1996 but the teams have split the last 12 games.

In games in Oregon, OSU leads 26-24-1, including 21-19 in Corvallis. The Beavers have won three of the last four in the Mid Valley, but WSU won the last meeting between the two schools in Reser Stadium with a 13-6 victory in 2006.

Saturday's game marks the just the second time in six games that the game has been played in Pullman.

Coach Mike Riley is 4-1 against Washington State.  WSU coach Paul Wulff has never defeated Oregon State with an 0-3 record.
