Ryan Murphy (6-2, 205) has 4.42 speed and has been offered by the Beavs, ASU and WSU. He's also hearing UCLA, Fresno State and Cal.
"(Schools) were surprised by my speed but the first thing they mention is my love for the game...the passion I play with every down," said Murphy.
A versatile prospect, Murphy said he'll be looking to see how he might fit into the Oregon State program during his visit.
"Oregon State is looking at me more as an athlete, I'm not sure if they want me at halfback or at safety. Arizona State is looking at me as an athlete as well but more towards defense. And then Wazzu, they're leaning towards safety," said Murphy.
Murphy has already visited both Arizona State and Washington State, and gave high marks to each.
Murphy tore up his league this season with an average of 165.2 rushing yards while also turning in a head turner on defense at Oakland Tech and was named All-City First Team at running back. Tackle numbers were unavailable but Murphy estimated he had four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery for a touchdown plus two interceptions.
