Watch Beaver footballers in track & field

MEMBERS OF THE Beaver football squad, all of whom have track and field backgrounds, are in Seattle today competing in the 60-m dash and the high jump. Here's how to watch.

The OSU entries include wide receivers Jordan Bishop and Obum Gwacham in the high jump, with James Rodgers, Keynan Parker and Rashaad Reynolds competing in the 60 meter dash.

The sixth of the expected OSU delegation, Markus Wheaton, reportedly will not be competing this weekend due to a scheduling conflict.

Rodgers, meanwhile, was Texas' highest scoring athlete at the 2007 state meet during his senior year.

Saturday marks the first time a male student-athlete has represented Oregon State University in a men's track event since Karl Van Calcar (steeplechase) and John Thomas (hammer) earned All-America status at the 1988 NCAA Championships. The football team returns to the field for spring practice beginning on March 29.
