POLL WATCH: Beavs at No. 20

LAST SEASON, FOR the first time since 2001, Oregon State started out a season in one of the two main preseason Top 25 polls -- checking in USA Today Coaches Poll at No. 25. Just recently, ESPN's College Football Live released its preseason poll and the Beavers are once again considered one of the nation's elite teams as the ESPN pundits put the Men in Black at No. 20 in the land.

Several of Oregon State's 2010 opponents made the list as well - including two out of the three non-conference foes.

Boise State checked in at No. 3, TCU at No. 6, Oregon at No. 10, USC at No. 15 and Stanford at No. 24.

ESPN's preseason poll is a good indication of where the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches poll will place teams.

The coaches poll is released in early August while the AP poll is published later in the month. There is a good chance the Beavers will be ranked in both polls.

If the Beavs are ranked in either poll it will be the first time since the 1957 and 1958 seasons that a team started out ranked in a top 25 poll in back to back seasons.
