Spring game info; Paea on another watchlist

SATURDAY WILL KICK off early at Oregon State. The centerpiece and culmination of 15 spring practice sessions takes place with the Beavs' spring game, beginning at 12:15 p.m. But a number of activities will be ongoing at OSU on May 1, including an autograph session from 10-11 a.m., and fans will receive a free spring game poster while supplies last. Meanwhile, another watchlist for Stephen Paea.

The spring game is free for OSU students and children 12 and younger.

General admission tickets are $5.

Tickets can be purchased at the Reser Stadium's south end zone ticket booth starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Through Friday, they can be purchased at the OSU Ticket Office in Room 107 of Gill Coliseum.

Prior to the football activities, fans can cross the street and catch the OSU volleyball team take on Western Oregon in an exhibition match beginning at 10 a.m. at Gill Coliseum. The volleyball team will sign autographs following the match at 11:30 a.m. inside Gill. Admission for the volleyball match is free.

Saturday's spring game is scheduled to kick off at 12:15 p.m.

Players not expected to participate in the spring game according to a report in the Oregonian include Jacquizz Rodgers and Stephen Paea -- Mike Riley will be holding them out to ensure no freak injury occurs that could set them back heading into summer conditioning. Other starters, including LB Dwight Roberson and WR James Rodgers, are also expected to see limited action.

MEANWHILE, DT Stephen Paea has been named to the 2010 Rotary Lombardi Award watchlist.

Paea, a 6-1, 311-pound senior was the co-recipient of the Morris Trophy as the outstanding defensive lineman in the Pac-10 Conference last season.

The 2010 All-America candidate from Oregon State has 19.5 career tackles-for-loss. He was earlier named to the Lott Trophy Watch List.
