Third OSU game picked for national broadcast

WHEN USC COMES to town to meet the Beavers on Nov. 20, either ABC or ESPN will carry the nighttime game live. The 5 p.m. football contest, to be shown on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, is the third nationally televised game on the schedule to date, joining the Sept. 4 season opener vs. TCU @ Cowboys Stadium on ESPN and the Sept. 25 trip to Boise State on either ABC or ESPN.

The Beavers have had USC's number lately at home, winning three of the last four meetings in Corvallis, including downing the then-No. 1 Trojans on ESPN 27-21 on a Thursday night game in 2008.

As noted in Chad Luther's BF.C piece published today, then freshman running back Jacquizz Rodgers, a Heisman Trophy candidate this year, burst onto the national scene with 186 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Beavers also ended then No. 3 USC's 27-game Pac-10 win streak with a 33-31 victory Oct. 28, 2006.

Fox Sports Net, which has already announced seven of its selections for the 2010 season, will join the Versus Network in making public additional televised games June 1.
