Beavs open No. 22 in USAToday Coaches' Poll

OREGON STATE IS about where many forecast them, and their competition, to be ranked headed into the 2010 season. In the just released USAToday Coaches Poll, Oregon State is ranked No. 22. Early season opponents TCU and Boise State, whom Oregon State will play on the road over the first three weeks of the season. are both ranked high.

The Beavs will have a chance to make a large leap up the poll if they can pull off an upset in the season opener in Texas on Sept. 4. TCU is ranked No. 7 in nation in the Coaches' poll.

In Week 3, Oregon State takes on Boise State, who is ranked even higher in the poll, at No. 5 in all the land.

The Associated Press poll is scheduled to be released on Aug. 21.
