Named ST Player of the Week

The Pacific-10 Conference today announced that Oregon sophomore punter Jackson Rice has been named special teams Player of the Week for his performance against Tennessee in the Ducks' 48-13 win on Saturday.

Jackson Rice, a sophomore from Moraga, Calif., had four punts averaging 41.8 yards per kick, all landing inside the Tennessee 20, with two of the punts inside the 6. Only one of the kick was returned and it was for no gain.

Other Ducks considered for honors this week was Darron Thomas for offense and Zac Clark for defense.
