Duck Defenders Know What to Expect

One advantage the No. 4 Oregon Ducks (4-0, 1-0) have when the players step onto the field Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in Autzen Stadium against No. 9 ranked Stanford Cardinal (4-0, 1-0) is that the Ducks had a tough opponent last week against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Oregon beat the Sun Devils 42-31, but it was no easy chore.

This week Andrew Luck and will try to repeat his performance from last year when he led the Stanford Cardinal to the only loss Oregon suffered in the Pac-10 Conference race. Luck was 12-for-20, 251 yards and two touchdowns in a 52-41 over the Ducks at Stanford Stadium. The game was a shocker to the Ducks and all year long the Ducks have pointed to this upcoming weekend as a chance to redeem themselves for last year's loss.

Last week, Oregon had a tough contest in which they gave up almost 600 yards of total offense, but when it was most necessary, the defense dug in and shut the Sun Devils out in the fourth quarter.

Earlier this week, eDuck spoke to senior defensive tackle Brandon Bair and junior corner back Anthony Gildon about how preparations are going for this week's game.
