Parking Lot Open for Gameday

EUGENE – The University of Oregon athletics department will open the Autzen Stadium east parking lot for everyone who wants to attend Saturday morning's three-hour ESPN College GameDay production, which goes on the air at 6 a.m. and is televised live for the first hour on ESPNU.

The nation's premier college football pregame show, presented by The Home Depot, will air from 7-9 a.m. on ESPN from the Casanova Center lot and features hosts Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Erin Andrews.

The Autzen Stadium parking lot, which opens Saturday at 5 a.m., was to originally be accessible only to those vehicles in possession of a reserved parking pass for the 5 p.m. football game between Oregon and Stanford.

However the decision was made to allow the parking lot to be open to everyone free of charge who wishes to take part in the ESPN College GameDay festivities as the production returns to the University of Oregon for the fifth time. Every vehicle without a reserved parking pass must vacate the lot no later than 10 a.m. or risk being towed. Vehicles displaying a reserved parking credential will be allowed to remain in the lot until after the conclusion of the game.

Athletics department officials want to emphasize that vehicles with reserved parking passes may find other vehicles parked in their reserved spaces should they arrive on site prior to 10 a.m. However they will be allowed to relocate to their reserved space after 10 a.m. or even leave the premises and return later in the day.
