Ducks Surge to 32-3 Lead at Halftime

Eugene -- The No. 1 Oregon Ducks, behind a strong passing performance by quarterback Darron Thomas and a stiff defense went into the lockerroom holding a 32-3 lead over UCLA. Thomas threw for two touchdowns and 220 yards while adding an additional 39 yards rushing.

David Paulson was the leading Oregon receiver with four catches for 62 yards and touchdown while Jeffery Maehl had five grabs for 52 yards. Josh Huff was caught the other Darron Thomas touchdown throw.

Duck running back LaMichael James was shaken up on Oregon's second possession but managed to come back in the game. James has 77 yards and a touchdown. Remene Alston also ran the ball in after James was on the sidelines.

Place Kicker Rob Beard hit a 29-yard field goal in the waning moments of the half.

UCLA, ran the ball well in the first half racking up a total of 89 yards but could only muster a 25-yard field goal by Kai Forbath.

Oregon has 357 yards (137 rushing, 220 passing) compared to UCLA's 136 total yards.
