Cliff Harris, averaged 39.5 yards on a pair of punt returns, including the game-deciding touchdown in the win over Cal. The punt return for touchdown was his fourth of the season, tying former Cal receiver DeSean Jackson (2006) for the Pac-10 single-season record.
Harris is the second Oregon player in the history of the honor to win three Pac-10 weekly honors in one season, joining Dennis Dixon in 2007. Harris also took home the award after Week 1 (special teams) and Week 5 (defense).
Harris, who has set school single-season record for punt return yardage with 557, leads the nation with an average of 23.2 yards on 24 returns. His four touchdowns on returns also lead the NCAA and are equal to Keenan Howry's (1999-02) Oregon career record.
On Sunday Harris was also selected as the national punt returner performer of the week by the College Football Performance Awards for his performance against the Bears.
Oregon (10-0, 7-0 Pac-10) is the No. 1 ranked BCS and has two games left in the regular season. The next game is on Friday, Nov. 26 at home against Arizona. The following Saturday the Ducks close out the season on the road in the Civil War against Oregon State. The Arizona game will be br, at Autzen Stadium.
