Fuller Likes Oregon's Winning Tradition

At 6'0'', 185 lbs., Old Tappan (NJ) three-star quarterback Devin Fuller may not possess ideal height and weight for a quarterback, however he might just be the most exciting dual-threat athlete in the entire country. Fuller has been offered from many schools on the East Coast, though there is one school out West that has grabbed his attention.

Do you have an offer from Oregon?

"No, I don't have an offer from Oregon."

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"It's been great. I haven't really had a lot of contact with them, but I know that they've gotten in contact with coach and my school. I know they know I'm out there, but they haven't gotten in contact with me yet."

How often have the Oregon coaches had contact with your coaches or your school?

"I've heard from my school about twice and then my coach twice. Not a lot, but enough for me. That's one of my biggest schools."

Do you know which coaches from Oregon have contacted your coaches or your school?

"Mark Helfrich."

What is your overall interest in Oregon?

"I always grew up watching Oregon, so I know that they're one of my top schools from when I was a kid. I know I love their offense because that's the kind of offense I like to run, so if I got offered, they'd be very high up on my list."

Is there anything else other than the offense that perhaps stands out to you?

"There's a lot of things. I've been looking at them forever, so there's a lot. I love their offense, they have great coaching with Chip Kelly -- I know he's got a winning tradition over there -- they have good academics. Their job foundation after (graduation) where you can go in with Nike is pretty cool too. They have a lot of sponsors with Nike, they have the jerseys, they have all the newest equipment you can get, and it's just a good school right now."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"I'd say I'm dynamic and not easy to defend against. I have a lot of talents that are hard to cover against and that you can't really study."

Is there anyone at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"I try to do my best Michael Vick impression (laughter), but sometimes it doesn't work out quite as well as he does. I try to model my game after him."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Number one is academics. I know football is gonna end one day and I want to have something to fall back on. The football program and the facilities that they can offer (too)."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"Not as of yet. Probably something in business though."

What are some of the offers you have from other schools at this point?

"I've got Florida State, Penn State, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Kansas, Maryland, Georgia Tech...I think I have 10 now, so I think that's it."

Do you have any leaders among the schools that have offered you or that you've been hearing from?

"No. All of them are pretty high on my list cause they've offered. I haven't really ranked anyone or put anyone higher than anyone else. I think all of them are pretty high on my list right now."

Is distance a factor for you?

"I'm open to whatever because I've had multiple conversations with my parents about me going away. They say wherever is the best fit for me, they'll accomodate wherever I go, so it doesn't really matter."

Do you have any plans to go to any camps? Junior Days? Unofficial visits?

"I haven't made any plans yet. There been (invites) that come in the mail that invite me and write me on Facebook. They spring up and I might go, but I don't have any plans right now."
