Taylor Likes Oregon's "Winning Style"

In the game of football, big things can often be found in small packages. Lutcher (LA) three-star running back Daniel Taylor is an impressive blend of speed, agility, and power for a player who stands 5'9'', 170 lbs. Taylor sat down with eDuck Sports recently to discuss Oregon and the recruiting process.

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"A lot. Not really talking, but just a lot of letters."

How often would you say you receive letters from Oregon?

"Everyday I come home from I have two or three letters from them."

Have any coaches from the school contacted you personally?

"I used to get e-mail from coach Chip Kelly...like two every week...but I don't really be checking my e-mail that much anymore."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"I really like Oregon, but I would like to get to know more about them as a program before I really consider them or anything like that. I'd like to get to know more about them than just what I see on TV."

What is it about Oregon that stands out you to?

"The uniforms (laughter). The uniforms and the winning style."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"Confident, explosive, and fast."

Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"Not really. I just go out there and play."

What are you looking for in a program?

"The level of competition that they play. (Also) the tradition that the school has behind it. I don't want to go any school that's not used to winning."

Is distance a factor for you?

"I'm open to wherever. Distance won't be a factor."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"Not yet, but I was gonna start looking in to that."

What offers do you currently hold?

"I got Auburn, Tennessee, SMU, and Pittsburgh."

Do you have any plans to attend any camps? Junior Days? Unofficial visits?

"I'm gonna go camping at the LSU camp, I might be going to the Nike camp in Houston, and then the Under Armour camp in New Orleans."
