Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?
"I just received an Oregon offer today."
Which coach from Oregon offered you?
"(Nick) Aliotti...he was just asking about my top five and how interested I was. It was about a five minute conversation."
Do you have a top five or a favorites list at this point?
"I'm continually developing my top five, I can't say that that's set in stone. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I have a general idea. I don't want to say it and then change my mind."
What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?
"I've had a lot of contact with Oregon. They came to my school twice and we talk on the phone frequently. (The coaches) have all been coming back from their visits and everything and they're trying to figure out who they're gonna offer. I think they have a very high interest in me."
Which coaches came by to visit you this spring?
"It was coach (Don) Pellum and coach (Nick) Aliotti."
Has coach Pellum or coach Aliotti been your primary recruiter?
"Actually, it's been pretty even between the two. I've talked to both of them pretty evenly."
What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?
"I'd say it's pretty high. I visited last November to go to the Washington game and I really liked it. The people were very nice, the school looks great and just the state, in general, is just a beautiful state. I wouldn't mind going there."
How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I would consider myself hard working -- as we speak, I'm lifting weights -- I play hard every down, I play with my knees bent and I stay low, I play fast and wherever the ball is at, I'm gonna go get it. That's my mentality as a defensive player."
Has the Oregon coaching staff told you which position they prefer you at?
Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?
"Not really. I'm just trying to develop as an athlete. I like to watch collegiate and professional players because you learn a lot from them. The more you examine what they do, the more you try and do it. I can't say there's singularly one player that I look at."
What are you looking for in a program?
"The things are I'm looking for in a program are, one, if the school is overall successful in football. If I'm successful in football, I'm gonna be content and happy at the school I'm at. Second, the academics have to be there. They have to have great academics in the sense of getting a quality experience. Third, it has to be a place where I can live at for four years, somewhere where I can be comfortable and feel like it's closer to home."
Have you given any thought as to what you might want to major in when you get to college?
What are some of the offers that you have from other schools?
"I have Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, Cal, San Jose State, Cal Poly, UCLA, SMU, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah State, Arkansas and Northwestern."
As far as camps and unofficial visits go, where have you been and where do you plan on going this summer?
"So far I have visited: USC, Stanford, Oregon State, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Arkansas. I plan on visiting Cal and UCLA some time over summer break and just going out whenever I can, as long as it's feasible for my parents, and just going out and seeing what's out there. Camps wise, I don't plan on going to any school camps or any type of deal like that, but I do plan on going to the B2G Elite camp and B2G going to Dallas and playing in the Badger 7-on-7."
