Ducks Ready to Start 45th Season at Autzen

EUGENE – As the University of Oregon football team gears to host Saturday's 12:30 p.m. home opener vs. Nevada, a few changes have been implemented to enhance the game-day experience for fans in an effort to make Autzen Stadium as safe and enjoyable as possible.

Despite multiple construction projects surrounding the stadium complex, there are no changes to pre- and post-game traffic management. Fans are encouraged to leave for the stadium early and to take advantage of alternate transportation options. As the season wears on, parking in the Autzen Stadium east lot will diminish due to the start of construction of the women's soccer and lacrosse fields later this fall.

Parking lots within the confines of the Autzen Stadium complex again will open four hours prior to kickoff, with overnight parking not available. Parking lots outside of the stadium footprint are managed by independent vendors and are subject to their own regulations in regards to hours of operation.

Vehicles eligible to utilize the disabled parking areas not only will be required to display the mandatory disabled parking placards, proper identification from the individual who has registered the disabled parking placard also will be required.

Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the LTD Sports Shuttles to and from Autzen Stadium. Eight Park-and-Ride locations will be available throughout the Eugene-Springfield area, highlighted by the return of the Thurston High School stop following a one-year absence. The shuttles begin operation four hours before kickoff and will run every 10 to 20 minutes. Return trips are available only during halftime as well as immediately following the conclusion of the game and extending for 60 minutes.

Park-and-Ride Locations are:

* LTD Eugene Station
* Lane County Fairgrounds
* South Eugene High School (19th & Patterson)
* Valley River Center (Northwest parking lot)
* LTD River Road Station
* LTD Springfield Station
* Symantec
* Thurston High School

The round-trip fare is $6 and collected at pre-game boarding. Riders also may purchase a $25 season pass at the Athletics Department Ticket Office, located in the northeast corner of the Moshofsky Center, or at LTD Customer Service at the Eugene Station.

The perimeter gates surrounding Autzen Stadium, which includes access into the Moshofsky Center, will open three hours prior to kickoff, while fans will be allowed into the stadium bowl 90 minutes before the game.

The Mo Center again will provide fans with an indoor tailgating experience, complete with food and beverage, as well as live music through the first three quarters of the game.

PK Park also will be available to enhance fans' pre-game activities three hours prior to game-time and will close at kickoff, with those in attendance asked to stay off of the artificial playing surface. Admission into the Oregon baseball facility is free of charge.

Once again, bags and backpacks will be permitted into Autzen Stadium upon inspection by security personnel at points of entry. Factory sealed non-alcoholic beverages and empty plastic containers also will be allowed into the stadium. However partially filled plastic containers and vacuum or insulated containers (i.e. thermoses) will not be permitted into the stadium. Patrons will be asked to empty the contents of non-sealed containers before entry into Autzen Stadium is allowed.

As instructed by the Pac-12 Conference, fans are asked to wait for 5 minutes following the conclusion of the game before entering the field to exit the stadium.
