Ducks hold 35-7 lead at halftime

Eugene – The Oregon Ducks (1-1) scored on all but its last possession of the first half and took a 35-7 lead into the lockerroom over Missouri State. LaMichael James set a personal record on a 90-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

James leads all rusher in the game with 134 yards on nine carries, but Darron Thomas was on fire throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

The Ducks amassed a total of 355 yards on 25 plays in only 6:35 time of possession. Despite falling behind on the first possession when Missouri State drove the ball 84 yards capped by a 3-yard Chris Douglas touchdown run, the Ducks quickly gained momentum by scoring five times in the first half.

James also scored on Oregon's first possession on a 1-yard run. Lavasier Tuinei had two of Thomas' touchdown passes scoring on 8-yard and 34-yard scoring plays. Colt Lyerla also pulled in a Thomas pass for score covering 7-yards.

Trevor Wooden was the leading ground gainer for the Bears with 53 net yards on 11 carries. He was also 6-for-10 passing for 92 yards.
