Ducks hold 35-9 Halftime Lead

Tucson – The Oregon Ducks put on an offensive show during the first against the Arizona Wildcats by scoring six touchdowns and dominating in every statistical category and lead 35-9 at halftime.

LaMichael James led the Duck rushing attack by picking up 133 yards on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Kenjon Barner added 46 yards and scored once on a rush of 8 yards. Barner also scored on a pass reception of six yards. Darron Thomas had 86 yards of passing on 10-of-17. Thomas also hooked up with David Paulson for a 10-yard score.

Arizona scored on a 28-yard Alex Zendejas field goal in the first quarter. As the second quarter was nearing the end, Arizona quarterback Nick Foles hit Richard Morrison for a 34-yard score. The point after attempt was no good however on the ensuing kickoff the Wildcats recovered an on-side kick but was unable to score on the following possession.

Oregon had a total of 300 yards of offense including 214 rushing. Arizona had 219 yards of total offense with 189 of those yards coming from passing.
