Trenton Tuiasosopo

Trenton Tuiasosopo is a 6-1, 220-pound linebacker from Everett (Wash.) Mariner, and as it happened he was also the only high school player from the state of Washington to attend Saturday's NoCal Nike camp in Palo Alto, California. With a previous Nike camp experience under his belt (Oregon 2002), Trenton was able to take the lessons learned there and put them to work.

"The weather was so much better and the competition was too," Trenton told about Saturday's Nike camp experience, compared to last year's. "I just came down to show the coaches what I could do."

Trenton ran a very respectable 4.59 in the 40, 4.41 in the shuttle and benched 185 pounds 18 times. "I think I did well but there's always room for improvement," he said. "I wanted to work on my speed, agility and quickness."

As far as the rest of Tuiasosopo's summer plans, he's keeping them short and sweet. "I'm just going to go to the Washington camp, sharpen my skills," he said. "I need to get ready for the season."

He's very open right now and is hearing from the Pac-10, Big-10 and Big-12.
