Cal Holds 15-14 Halftime Lead

Eugene – Cal came back from a 14-6 deficit to take a 15-14 lead despite LaMichael James rushing for 166 yards and scoring on a 53-yard run. The Bears were able to convert long 3rd downs and kicked three field goals plus score a touchdown.

Giorgio Tavecchio banged through three field goals of 27, 38 and 54 yards and Bear quarterback Zach Maynard hit Keanan Allen on a 12-yard score, although the 2-point conversion failed.

Oregon scored on LaMichael James 53-yard run on the second snap of Oregon's first possession. De'Anthony Thomas scored on an end around play similar to James' scoring play but the Ducks were not able to move the ball into scoring position again in the first half.

James led all rushers with 166-yards on 14 carries. Darron Thomas threw for 101 yards on 8-of-19 passing and was intercepted once.

Maynard finished the half with 131 yards on 11-of-24 passing.

Isi Sofele had 93 yards on 10 carries.
