Are The Ducks One Of Willis' Many Offers?

Undoubtedly one of the top defensive backs on the West Coast for the 2013 recruiting cycle, Tempe (AZ) Marcos De Niza defensive back Priest Willis is getting flooded with offers from some of the biggest college programs across America. Have the Ducks thrown their hat in the ring?

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

"No I don't."

What, if any, contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"Well I just talked to coach [John] Neal and we just talked a little bit. He was just telling me how they needed some corners and how they're very thin on corners. They need two and they said they'll look at me. He said the people in front at the spots already are very tough and you're going to have to compete. Whoever gets that position is going to have to compete."

Is a school's depth chart a concern for you?

"I really like competition. It brings the best out you -- all your skills -- and if you don't win, you can always challenge but if you win, you've got to keep that position. You have to love because it makes you a better player."

Was this the first time you've spoke with coach Neal?

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"It's the Pac-12, so I'd love to hear more from them. Just that phone call was nice to hear."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"Physical and I go hard every down. I leave it all on the field."

Are most schools looking at you as a corner or as a safety?

"Some are corner, some safety, and some just say defensive back."

Do you prefer one position over the other?

"Whatever can get me on the field fastest."

Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"Probably Charles Woodson...He's physical like me and he plays bump and run good and he's just very physical."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Right now I don't think I know that. Right now I really don't know."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"I'm thinking about business."

What are some of the offers that you currently have from other programs?

"Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, California, Arizona State, Arizona, USC, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Arkansas, San Diego State, Oregon State, Purdue...Those are the ones off the top of my head. Oh, and Virginia and Nebraska. That's all the ones I could think of off the top of my head...I've got 16 [offers]."

Do you have a top five or a list of favorites out of schools that have or have not offered you yet?

"No, I'm keeping my options open."

As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?

"I've been to UCLA and USC's Junior Days and for sure we're going to Nebraska and Oklahoma and we're just going to go with the flow after that."
