Huff Hears From Ducks, Wants To Take Official

Figuring to be one of the most highly sought after running backs from the South in 2013, Mobile (AL) St. Paul's Episcopal running back Jordan Huff suffered a devastating knee injury that sidelined him for the season midway through his junior year. The road to recovery is difficult, but despite his setback, Huff remains in contact with some of the nation's best football programs.

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

"No, sir. Not as of yet. They've been send me letters and stuff lately."

How often would you say you receive mail from Oregon?

"Weekly. It's like a weekly thing, sometimes I get some every other day."

Have you spoken with any coaches from Oregon?

"No, sir. Not yet."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"It's pretty high. I'm thinking about taking an official visit there."

What is it about the school and the program that has you interested in Oregon?

"It's a really good academic university and their athletics really stand out. They've gotten in to the top ten the last couple of years and it would be a really good school to play for."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"I'm a good player. I play hard, I have very good vision, I run north and south, have very powerful legs, I'm very diverse -- I can run in different circumstances."

Is there a guy at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"Probably a little bit of C.J. Spiller and Adrian Peterson."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Mainly good academics where I can get a good education and where I can get the earliest playing time and where I fit in the best."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"It's kind of between the automotive industry and sports medicine and physical therapy...somewhere along those lines."

What offers do you currently hold from other programs?

"I have one from South Alabama."

Have you heard from any other schools that haven't offered you yet?

"Yes sir. Auburn, Florida State, Alabama, Clemson, Duke, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Louisville, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Oklahoma and Mississippi State."

Do you have a top five or a list of favorites out of the schools you've been hearing from?

"No sir. I'm still looking at my options."

As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?

"I'm at Duke right now. We just came from Winston-Salem and we plan on going by Florida State this Saturday and I'm going to Auburn, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Kentucky by the end of this week...We're out on Mardi Gras break."
