Voeller Plans To Attend Oregon's Junior Day

In a talented group of offensive linemen hailing from the state of Oregon for the class of 2013, West Linn (OR) four-star offensive lineman Evan Voeller may be the state's best. Garnering attention from the Pac-12, SEC, and Big Ten, Voeller may not be a lock to stay local.

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

"Not right now, no."

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"I've just been talking to coach [Steve] Greatwood a lot and they told me to come to their Junior Day."

What is the date of that Junior Day?

"March 3."

How often would you say that you're in contact with coach Greatwood?

"Right now, not that much. Just a couple of weeks ago I talked to him...just over the phone."

Has coach Greatwood been the only coach from Oregon that you've been in contact with?

"I think so, yeah."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"I'm just trying to get all of my options out there and see which one is the best fit. I'm looking for a good degree and also a good football program, so I think Oregon and a lot of other schools fit that [criteria]."

Your older brother, Dallen Voeller, currently plays for Oregon. Is that a factor for you one way or another in this process?

"It does kind of, but I'm just trying to figure out what my options are and see which one is the best fit."

Is there anything in particular that stands out to you about Oregon when you consider them as a potential option?

"I mean obviously it's an in-state school and one of the closest to where I live."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"I think I've got size and I think I've got quick feet and I'm just a big athletic athlete."

Is there a guy at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"Not really, I'm just trying to be me."

What are you looking for in a program?

"A school that has a good degree and also that can help me get to the next level."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"Not yet, I'm undecided on a major."

What are some of the offers you currently have from other schools?

"Right now it's Washington, UCLA, Purdue, Boise State, Texas A&M, and then Washington State."

Is there any other schools that maybe haven't offered, but that you've had a lot of contact with?

"Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and Arizona State."

Do you have a top five or a list of favorites out of the schools that you've been in contact with?

"Not really. I need to find out a list, but I need to find out more about the schools before I make a list."

As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?

"Over the next few months, my parents and I are talking about that right now. We're going to see about visiting some places, but we haven't decided anything quite yet...We've been to Washington, Oregon, and Oregon State."
