Ducks Face LSU in First Round of NIT

The Oregon Ducks (22-9) will face LSU (18-14) in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament. The game will be played at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene and will be televised on ESPN with tipoff scheduled for Tuesday, March 13th at 6:30 p.m. (PDT).

Oregon has made a post-season appearance for the second straight year under Head Coach Dana Altman. The Ducks finished tied for second place in the Pac-12 Conference race with a 13-5 record, but were eliminated in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament last week to the eventual tournament winner Colorado, 63-62, last Thursday night.

LSU was the SEC No. 8 team with a 7-9 conference record but put up a competitive game against No. 1 Kentucky, losing 60-51.

Tickets will be priced at $10, $18, $28 for the NIT game on Tuesday night. Including fees, those ticket prices become $13, $21, $31. Student tickets are free and can be claimed via their student account online.

Season ticket holders have until 2 p.m. on Monday to request tickets for their usual location through their online accounts. The sale to the general public will begin at 6 p.m. (online only) at, with phone and walk-up sales beginning Tuesday morning at various locations (Moshofsky Center Ticket Office, 9 am-5 p.m.; Matthew Knight Arena Box Office, 10 am-5:30 pm).

According to a media release from the University of Oregon, Oregon Men's Basketball season tickets holders must request their tickets for any future round NIT games at this Monday's 2 p.m. deadline.
