Nike Camp report - Patrick McKillop

Patrick McKillop is a 6-3, 230-pound linebacker from Tacoma (Wash.) Bellermine Prep and Patrick is very much in the mold of a typical MIK 'backer - the guy that takes on the fullback in the holes and stays close to the line of scrimmage. When he showed up Saturday at the Oregon Nike camp, he was in for a little different routine - one that would help him improve his overall game.

"There was a lot of good competition out there," McKillop told "It was fun, but it was tough. I'm not used to playing a lot of man coverage." The linebackers worked on a lot of pass coverage techniques at camp, and Patrick used his considerable skills to show that he can play outside as well as in.

In testing, Patrick ran a 4.87 40 and 4.43 shuttle.

The Oregon State Beavers remain the only school to offer McKillop a scholarship, but expect that number to increase during the summer. He'll be participating in Oregon's week-long camp and will also camp at Oregon State, Washington and possibly Stanford. He's still playing the field this summer and is very open at this point.
