Nike camp report - Joe Bozikovich

When talking about the best defensive linemen in Oregon, no conversation would be complete without mentioning Joe Bozikovich, a 6-1.5, 268-pound DT/DE from Portland (Ore.) Wilson. Joe participated at the Oregon Nike camp, and along with North Medford's David Faaeteete and Banks' Cole Linehan showed that they know how to play a little ball in the northwest.

"It was real nice," Joe told when asked about the camp. "I got good reps. I think I stacked up pretty good today and there was some good competition, but it only counts when you put on the pads."

Bozikovich ran a 4.3 shuttle, jumped 27.9 inches in the vertical and also had 17 reps of 185 pounds. He attended Oregon's half day camp, then left Monday for camps at Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame. Joe will be spending two days at each camp. "I might also check out a couple smaller, non-contact camps in the Portland-area this summer, but that's it," he said.

Currently Joe has scholarship offers from Oregon State and Portland State, but his interest in the midwest schools is very serious. Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oregon and Oregon State are on his wish list. "I'm not going to make an early decision at all," Bozikovich said.

"I'm going to wait on it."
