Nike camp report - Bryan Baird

Bryan Baird is a 6-2.5, 201-pound safety/linebacker prospect from Vancouver (Wash.) Columbia River, and it's been some time since Bryan worked out learning linebacker techniques but that's exactly what he did at the Oregon Nike camp.

"First time I've done linebacker in a couple of years, so I was a little rusty," he told TheInsiders.com. "I could have done better."

Baird ran a 4.79 40, 4.18 shuttle, put up 16 reps of 185 pounds on the bench and jumped 26 inches in the vertical.

Interest is coming heaviest from two schools - Washington State and Oregon State. Bryan has family ties to Pullman, but he likes what the Beavers have been telling him. "I like Oregon State a lot and I've gotten a few letters from Nebraska, so I'd like to see where that pans out," he said.

Bryan will try and camp at Oregon State for a day and then head on over to Washington State's team camp. "I was also invited to the James Hasty Defensive camp, and I might check that out too," he said.

"I'm going to check everything out."
