Will Judge Rule In Favor Of Oregon?

In years past, the Oregon football team has had success mining talent from Westlake Village (CA) Oaks Christian, where former Ducks Casey Matthews and Anthony Gildon once starred as prepsters. This year the Ducks are in the mix for another Oaks Christian Lion, three-star linebacker Cameron Judge, who has strong familial ties to Oregon.

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

"No, I do not."

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"I've been getting a lot of letters from them and stuff like that and coach [Don] Pellum was actually at the school probably about a month, month and a half ago."

How often would you say that you've been receiving mail from Oregon?

"Probably about four or five letters a week."

In your limited conversations with coach Pellum, what kinds of things has he discussed with you?

"He said that the speed that I play at would be good for the defense that they run up there and he also said he liked how I finished tackles. He said I have good form and I wrap up well and he said he likes seeing that in his defensive players."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"My dad [Chris Judge] actually went to Oregon. They're pretty high up on my interest right now, so I'd definitely like to hear more from them."

Is there anything in particular that stands out to you when you consider Oregon as a potential option?

"I went up to the school to look at it for my brother when he was a senior and of course, as everyone says, it's sweet and they have the best facilities in the world and it's crazy seeing all what they have available."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"I'd say physical, likes to get after it, and plays at a high speed."

Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"James Harrison from the Pittsburgh Steelers."

What are you looking for in a program?

"I'm looking for a nice environment where I can see myself and I can feel at home since I'll be going there for four years. I'd like a place where I can feel like I'm at home everyday with the players, the coaches, the overall environment of the school, and also academics would be there near the top, as well."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"Yeah, I was thinking of something like broadcasting or journalism or something like that."

What are some of the offers you currently hold from other schools?

"I have UCLA, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Oregon State, Arizona, and Utah."

Are there any other schools out there that you've had a lot of contact with, but have yet to offer?

"Yeah, I think Washington is pretty close to offering. I've been talking to them a couple times and I think I'm going to call them later today, actually."

Do you have a top five or a list of favorites at this point?

"I'm just sitting back right now. I haven't really narrowed it down at all yet."

As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?

"I went to UCLA's Junior Day about three weeks ago and that's the only one I've been to. At the start of the summer, I'm going to start narrowing down my choices and see if I can try and makes some visits and what not."
